Our approach is to analyse requirements and in most instances, will recommend ExpressionEngine, a high quality, commercial CMS that is used by many high volume websites worldwide.
As experts in developing ExpressionEngine CMS’, we have found the benefits to be numerous. If you opt for a custom developed CMS you have no control over the code quality, meaning that if it has not been developed according to generally accepted standards, other companies will be unwilling and unable to maintain the system, locking you into one company for life. Conversely, OpenSource CMS such as Joomla/Drupal (with which we have extensive experience) are in our opinion usually an inferior choice to Expression Engine.
Where requirements are very unique, we will custom develop the CMS – but in doing so, will ensure that we use the most suited development framework according to best practice principles. This results in a system that is stable, scalable and easily maintainable.
